Le Duc McNamara Family

I saw Letters from Iwo Jima last night. It is the sister movie to Flags of Our Fathers which wa released last Fall. Iwo was in Japanese with English subtitles and as captivating as I had hoped. Stories about the personal lives of soldiers fighting on the Japanese side of the conflict. The human drama knows no limits when all sides are factored into the equation of war. The difference between good and bad get lost on the individual level. It is easier to contrast good and evil at the faceless governmental level, but that washes away when a personal face is put on the event.
